<p>The Global Publications Manager is accountable for planning and driving the publication planning activities for Oncology marketed and pipeline products. They will work hand in hand with the Medical Director(s), Commercial, Regional Publication Manager, and members of the Strategic Publication Team in the development of the publication strategy and lead the execution of that strategy through the direct management of all publication activities globally.</p>
<p>The manager will supervise the coordination and management of cross-functional publication teams in their respective Business Unit(s). The management responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, management of publication activities throughout the product lifecycle such as development, submission and successful publication of manuscripts, congress abstracts, posters, slide sets, with the goal of on-time completion of high-quality, peer-reviewed publications. The manager will oversee the selection and contract responsibilities with any third-party vendors in the publications process, including medical writing and publications agencies, and will be responsible for overseeing the internal review process of all publications. Additionally he/or she will ensure that implementation of the publication plans are in compliance with relevant guidelines.</p>
<p>Clinical data knowledge and expertise to lead sub analysis discussions and provide recommendations to address data / publication gaps. The manager will build and develop comparative effectiveness, managed market and health outcomes expertise to effectively contribute publication strategy and align with goals for Patients, Payers and health care Providers (G3P). Active participation and support of Medical Directors in the planning and execution of Advisory Board meetings also required.</p>
<p>An ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders (including investigators) is required. The manager will provide guidance on appropriate journal/congress selection. The manager will work closely with the global Medical Affairs team to align strategy and execution of global and regional publication plans.</p>
<p>Primary job functions include:</p>
<p>•Oversee the coordination and planning of publications globally and publication activities throughout product life cycles.</p>
<p>•Oversee the planning, review processes and tracking of publications using standardized publication planning software.</p>
<p>In close collaboration with Medical Director and Global Publication Manager actively contribute to, development, management and oversight of global Publication strategy, implementation of said strategy and appropriate prioritization of publishing activities through appropriate congress selection, journal selection, and messaging.</p>
<p>•In close collaboration with Medical Director manage focused analysis of existing data in order to identify needs and requirements for future publications.</p>
<p>•Oversee the tactical execution of publication strategy to ensure on-time and in-budget submission.</p>
<p>•Oversees that the department develops scientifically and medically accurate publications.</p>
<p>•Oversee the management of complex publication projects from initiation to approval to print/online to ensure that the publication plan is fulfilled in a timely and cost-effective fashion.</p>
<p>•Serve as scientific resource for Medical Information specialists.</p>
<p>•Liaison with managers of other departments across Global, including (but not limited to) Clinical Research, Regulatory, Legal, Biostatistics, Managed Markets and Public Relations to develop and sustain appropriate networks</p>
<p>•Serve as liaison with external key opinion leaders and authors on publication development</p>
<p>•Remain current on new regulations and issues regarding publication strategy/management. Develop and maintain departmental procedures to ensure compliance to these regulations.</p>

<p><strong>• In conjunction with Design &amp; Enable Learning and Share Knowledge areas, implements formal training programs where needed; provides SharePoint experience to projects within Share Knowledge effort.</strong></p>
<p>• Leads special projects as requested or approved; attends meetings on behalf of the SVP.</p>
<p>• Provides backup administrative support to the SVP and the Administrative Director.</p>
