User Experience Design Manager
Location: Basking Ridge, NJ

Responsibilities
Individual will have responsibility for defining strategy, user experience and visual and interaction design for our strategic applications and device user interfaces. Work will be across company teams, as well as primary user experience and interface for strategic developers.
Individual must build core competency for the business focused on application user interface that provides seamless, market leading experiences, to our customers. Individual must be able to interact with leading technologists and designers, within the wireless industry, as well as with experts outside the traditional wireless ecosystem.
Work includes making decisions for the company regarding user experience, and rapidly executing on decisions, based on ongoing evaluations of new technologies, market research information, competitive insights and usability data.
Individual must manage multiple internal and external organizations through the company’s processes leading to execution of UI requirements, and overall integration of user center design principles against multiple challenges.
- Design, Development & execution of mobile application user experiences – Develop market leading UI application experiences that embrace the company’s overall UX strategy.
- Management of internal stakeholders involved in application User Experience and user interface design work; new product launches, and communication of application UI strategy and design work and status to all levels of management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key strategic partners who support application development. Includes identification, design, and support for development community’s general needs (e.g. Digital Interaction Guidelines for development community.)
Qualifications
Ongoing – Effectively support the company culture including our core values as well as maintaining general understanding of overall business environment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
MBA required with 10+ years experience in industry or PhD in Human Factors or HCI or related field required with 10+ years of work experience in user interface strategy development and /or execution
In-depth knowledge, and experience in developing, significantly positive, market impacting application UI designs required
In-depth knowledge of wireless devices, and UI technologies required
In–depth knowledge of alternative consumer electronics industry UX desirable
Proven ability to interact with large teams and manage complex projects
Excellent written and oral communication skills
